Sarawak Chamber of Commerce & Industry 75th AGM 2026

The Sarawak Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) successfully held its 75th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25 June 2026 at the Sarawak Club, Kuching.

The AGM was attended by members from across Sarawak and served as an important platform for the Chamber to review its activities, achievements and financial performance for the past year, as well as discuss matters relating to the future development of the organisation.

In his address, SCCI President Datuk (Dr) Philip Ting expressed his appreciation to members for their continued support and commitment to the Chamber. He highlighted SCCI’s ongoing role as the voice of the business community in Sarawak and reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to advocating for policies and initiatives that promote a conducive business environment and sustainable economic growth.

Following the AGM, members attended a special presentation entitled “Financial Scam: Trends and Modus Operandi” delivered by En Muhammad Syamil bin Kamaruzzaman, Manager, Financial Development and Surveillance, Bank Negara Malaysia Regional Office Kuching. The session provided valuable insights into the latest scam trends, tactics employed by fraudsters and measures that businesses and individuals can take to protect themselves from financial fraud.

As SCCI marks its 75th anniversary year, the Chamber remains committed to serving the interests of the business community, fostering economic development and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders throughout Sarawak.
