SCCI is authorized by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to issue CO for goods exported to any country in the world. SCCI issues only Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin (NPCO).
The Certificate of Origin (CO) is a document that confirms where goods were grown, produced, or manufactured. It is needed for exporting to certain countries, when requested by the consignee for customs clearance, or if specified in a letter of credit. There are two main types of CO: Preferential and Non-Preferential.
SCCI members who are manufacturers, exporters or traders and must be registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (Companies Commission of Malaysia).

The APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) allows business travellers pre-cleared, facilitated short-term entry to participating member economies. The ABTC removes the need to individually apply for visas or entry permits, saving valuable time, and allows multiple entries into participating economies during the three years the card is valid.
