The Sarawak Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) Bintulu Region organized a Dialogue with the Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development, Trade and Investment Sarawak (MIETI) on Thursday, 27 October 2016 at ParkCity Everly Hotel in Bintulu.

The highlight of the event was a presentation by Datu Liaw Soon Eng, Permanent Secretary of MIETI to brief the business community in Bintulu on the opportunities made available from the various initiatives of the government.

Amongst the government officials present at the Dialogue was En Redzuan Abdul Rahman Director of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), En Esmawady Mohd Esa Director of SME Corp and Pn Rodziah Binti Morshidi, GM of Bintulu Development Authority (BDA).

According to SCCI Bintulu Chairman and Vice President, Temenggong Datuk Barry Yek, we are very fortunate to have the support of MIETI to bring value to the business community in Bintulu in particular, to enable us to have a meaningful engagement with the government for the interests of the private sector in Bintulu.”

This Dialogue which is a part of the “SCCI Business Roundtable” initiatives, was also attended by SCCI Committee Members from Kuching. More exciting programs will be lined up particularly at regional level to heighten membership benefits. New members are welcome.
